한국어학과는 외국인 유학생 전용 학과로서 한국어와 한국 문화를 깊이 있게 배워서, 세계 각국에서 이를 가르칠 수 있는 전문성을 갖춘 한국어 교사를 양성하는 곳입니다. 이를 위해 학생들은 고급 수준의 한국어 능력을 갖추기 위하여 체계적으로 한국어를 배우고, 교육학적 지식을 기반으로 교수법·평가·교재개발·문화교육 등 실무 중심의 교육과정을 이수합니다. 나아가 글로벌 한국학 인재로 성장하기 위하여 의사소통, 문화 비교, 지역학 등에 대한 심화 교육을 이수합니다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐 졸업 후에는 한국어교원 2급 자격증을 취득하여 국내 및 국외의 한국어교육 현장에서 한국어를 가르치거나 세계 각국에서 글로벌 한국학 전문가로 활동할 수 있습니다.
The Department of Korean Language is an academic program designed exclusively for international students, dedicated to cultivating professional Korean language educators who possess a deep understanding of the Korean language and culture, and the expertise to teach them around the world.
To achieve this goal, students systematically develop advanced proficiency in Korean while acquiring pedagogical knowledge that supports practical training in teaching methodology, assessment, textbook development, and cultural education. Furthermore, the curriculum provides in-depth courses in communication, cultural comparison, and regional studies to nurture globally competent scholars in Korean Studies.
Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to obtain Level 2 Korean Language Teaching Certificate enabling them to teach Korean both domestically and internationally, or to pursue careers as global specialists in Korean Studies.
